Technical Program Manager – Semiconductor Test & NPI
Contract, Hybrid remote with some travel.
New Iron is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support test engineering for leading semiconductor foundry. The ideal candidate has a blend of semiconductor test, supply chain and operations knowledge, plus project management skills. If you enjoy keeping complex silicon programs on track, let’s talk!
Responsibilities

Manage NPI milestones from tape-out through post-silicon bring-up, qualification, and HVM ramp across wafer probe (CP), final test (FT), and system-level test (SLT)

Own the schedule, critical path, ATE and lab capacity, and long-lead procurement for probe cards, load boards, sockets, and lab tooling

Coordinate test hardware vendors and OSAT partners on delivery, installation, and readiness schedules

Lead issue escalation and 8D, RCA, and CAPA tracking for low-yield lots, test program coverage gaps, and hardware reliability issues

Align Test Engineering, Process Integration, Quality and Reliability, Packaging, and customer teams on priorities and handoffs
Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field

4+ years of project management or engineering experience in semiconductor manufacturing, foundry operations, post-silicon validation, or ATE test

Familiarity with ATE platforms (Teradyne, Advantest), STDF data logs, probe card and load board flows, and basic silicon qualification standards (JEDEC)

Demonstrated schedule tracking, risk management, and reporting using Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project, or Power BI
Preferred
-
PMP or Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, PMI-ACP)

Prior experience as a Test Engineer, Product Engineer, or OSAT Program Manager

Basic scripting (Python, C/C++) for data analysis and yield tracking
