Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):
Education
- Master Educator with an MA in a relevant field (e.g. Visual Arts Education) and/or extensive relevant experience as a school artist-teacher in the visual arts.
- PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset.
Experience
1.Demonstrated knowledge of:
- Painting canons
- Painting skills
- Influential painting schools
- Various painting media
2. Previous experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level and/or equivalent relevant teaching or professional experience.
3. Experience as a visual arts educator in the Quebec educational system.
4. Familiarity with the 13 Professional Competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation.
Other
- Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion
- Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences
- Familiarity teaching blended courses is an asset
- Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools
