As we open our new Texas plant, we are seeking a Parts Assembler to support the assembly and fabrication of components used in backup power generation packages and enclosures. FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the Backup Power Generation industry. We design and build backup power packages, including tanks and enclosures, for healthcare, industrial, and technology-driven customers that require uninterrupted power at all times. Job Summary
The Parts Assembler is responsible for the set-up, layout, assembly, fit-up, and tack-up of precision frame weldments, brackets, and component parts used throughout the manufacturing process. This role supports production by ensuring components are assembled accurately, safely, and efficiently while maintaining established quality standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, good mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read drawings, measurements, and work instructions. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and continuous improvement.
Essential Job Functions
Assembly & Fabrication
Set up, lay out, and assemble precision frame weldments and brackets.
Perform fit-up and tack-up operations according to production specifications.
Tack structures to tight tolerances while maintaining dimensional accuracy.
Square and assemble various component configurations.
Perform welding-related assembly activities in both vertical and horizontal positions as required.
Move parts, components, and frames throughout production areas.
Assist with fabrication and assembly activities supporting production schedules.
Support department objectives related to safety, quality, and productivity.
Blueprint Reading & Measurement
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
Accurately take and verify measurements using tape measures and measuring tools.
Follow documented assembly procedures and production requirements.
Verify dimensions and alignments throughout the assembly process.
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all work performed.
Equipment & Material Handling
Safely use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
Move materials and heavy frames on and off machinery and throughout the facility.
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as trained and authorized.
Assist with staging materials and maintaining workflow throughout production.
Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
Support housekeeping and organization of work areas.
Quality & Safety
Inspect completed work for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
Follow company quality standards and manufacturing procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Wear required PPE and comply with all company safety requirements.
Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or quality problems promptly.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Manufacturing activities.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to achieve production goals.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
One to two years of manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or related industrial experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
Ability to accurately read and use tape measures and measuring devices.
Basic mathematical skills.
Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attendance, reliability, and work ethic.
Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
Highly Preferred
Manufacturing or fabrication experience.
Experience with frame assembly, tack welding, or fabricated component assembly.
Forklift operating experience.
Experience reading fabrication prints and assembly drawings.
Experience supporting startup operations or rapidly growing manufacturing facilities.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement activities.
Preferred
Technical school, trade school, or vocational training related to manufacturing, welding, or fabrication.
Experience working with precision weldments and brackets.
Experience with material handling equipment and production support activities.
Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and production measurement techniques.
Working Conditions
This position is performed in a manufacturing, production, and warehouse environment that may include both indoor and outdoor work areas, some of which are not fully covered. Employees may be exposed to fluctuating temperatures, weather conditions, elevated noise levels, airborne particles, fumes, moving machinery, and uneven walking surfaces.
Work may involve proximity to welding equipment, fabrication machinery, forklifts, material handling equipment, and active production operations. OSHA-compliant safety training, PPE, and safety procedures are provided and required at all times.
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing and walking for extended periods.
Repetitive use of hands, arms, and upper body.
Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, and climbing as required.
Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to safely operate tools, machinery, and production equipment.
Ability to accurately read measurements using rulers, tape measures, and measuring devices.
Ability to visually identify quality concerns, safety hazards, and operational issues.
Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing required PPE.
