About the role

• Lead the employee benefits strategy and governance across assigned countries, aligned with business, HR, and global objectives.
• Develop multi-year roadmaps across health, life, disability, pension, workers’ compensation, and other benefits.
• Drive benefit renewals, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization while maintaining competitive coverage and a positive employee experience.
• Manage consultants, brokers, insurers, and other providers; establish performance standards and continuous improvement plans.
• Use claims, utilization, financial, and market data to identify risks, savings opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
• Modernize benefits through digital platforms, flexible benefits, well-being solutions, automation, analytics, and other innovations.
• Partner with HR and Communications to improve benefits communication, awareness, utilization, and employee experience.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, oversee audits and risk remediation, and maintain accurate reporting and dashboards.
• Advise senior leaders and build alignment across HR, Finance, C&B, business teams, and country stakeholders.
• Lead and develop benefits teams and cross-functional partners, fostering collaboration and building internal expertise.

Benefits Strategy & Governance

• Lead benefits strategy and governance across assigned countries, aligned with business, HR, and global objectives.
• Develop multi-year roadmaps across health, life, disability, pension, workers’ compensation, and other benefits.
• Identify opportunities to harmonize, simplify, and enhance benefits programs.

Benefits Renewal, Cost & Vendor Management

• Lead benefit renewals, negotiations, implementation, and post-renewal governance.
• Manage advisors, insurers, and vendors, setting performance standards and driving continuous improvement.
• Use claims, utilization, financial, and benchmarking data to identify risks and cost-saving opportunities.

Benefits Transformation & Innovation

• Modernize benefits delivery through digital platforms, flexible benefits, well-being solutions, automation, and analytics.
• Develop business cases for new solutions and transformation initiatives.

Employee Experience, Well-being & Communication

• Partner with HR and Communications to deliver clear, engaging benefits information.
• Use employee feedback to improve benefits awareness, utilization, and experience.

Compliance, Risk & Reporting

• Ensure benefits programs meet legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Oversee audits, risk remediation, reporting, and dashboards to monitor costs, utilization, and vendor performance.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management.

Strategic Stakeholder Management

• Advise HR, Finance, C&B, and business leaders on benefits strategy and complex decisions.
• Build trusted relationships and align local needs with global strategy.
• Serve as an escalation point and represent the organization with external partners.

People Leadership & Capability Building

• Lead, coach, and develop benefits team members and professionals.
• Build internal expertise through knowledge sharing and mentoring.
• Lead collaborative, high-performing teams across geographies and time zones.

About you

• Significant experience in international employee benefits consulting, strategy, or management.
• Customer service-oriented mindset.  
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business priorities into benefits solutions.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost optimization, financial analysis, and negotiations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to engage with senior leadership.
• Strong vendor, broker, consultant, and partner management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Strong understanding of benefits strategy, funding arrangements, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead transformation, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication, presentation, and executive storytelling skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed, and global environment.
• Ability to challenge constructively and operate with a solution-oriented, win-win mindset.
• High level of ownership, accountability, integrity, and sound judgment.
