SENIOR APPLICATION PRODUCTION SUPPORT
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Application Production Support professional responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications in a production environment. You will provide both technical and functional support, manage application releases, monitor system performance, and contribute to service excellence through incident prevention, automation, and operational efficiency. Working closely with development and infrastructure teams, you will play a key role in maintaining service continuity and enhancing user experience.

What You Will Do on a Daily Basis

• Act as the first point of contact for IT Production-related incidents, requests, problems, and operational enquiries.

• Provide technical and functional support to users, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

• Monitor application and infrastructure layers to ensure service availability, stability, and performance.

• Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes through ITSM processes while ensuring agreed service levels are met.

• Coordinate and manage application releases, deployments, migrations, and production changes.

• Prepare and validate production and pre-production environments for new releases and infrastructure changes.

• Implement and improve monitoring, automation, batch processing, and scheduling solutions.

• Analyse operational data, identify recurring issues, and drive preventive actions to improve service quality and user experience.

• Manage functional change requests and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.

• Create, maintain, and enrich technical documentation, operating procedures, and knowledge repositories.

• Support application integrations leveraging existing services and technologies to reduce implementation effort and delivery timelines.

• Ensure compliance with operational processes, security requirements, and remediation actions.

Your Key Skills

• Strong expertise in Application Production Support, IT Operations, Application Management, or Production Engineering environments.

• Experience managing incidents, requests, problems, releases, and changes following ITIL and ITSM best practices.

• Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, databases, operating systems, infrastructure, and middleware components.

• Experience with monitoring, observability, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ability to operate in mission-critical environments while maintaining a strong customer-focused approach.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.

Your Main Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of professional experience in Application Production Support, IT Operations, or related roles.

• Strong knowledge of SQL databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Sybase.

• Experience administering and supporting Windows Server, Linux (RHEL), and UNIX (AIX) environments.

• Experience with file transfer technologies such as CFT, MQ, FTaaS, FTP, SFTP, and PeSIT.

• Hands-on experience with scheduling and automation tools such as Autosys, Jenkins, Ansible, Batch Processing, DevOps, and SecDevOps.

• Experience using monitoring and observability solutions such as Dynatrace.

• Knowledge of networking concepts including LAN, VPN, LDAP, and Active Directory.

• Understanding of infrastructure environments including Load Balancers, Firewalls, Virtual Machines, DMZ, Cloud platforms, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Knowledge of security practices and technologies including TLS, SSL, SSH, PKI, Certificates, SAST, and DAST.

• Good understanding of Cloud models including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

• Experience with Service Management platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, and ITSM toolsets.

• Banking sector experience will be considered a strong advantage.

• ITIL Certification (nice to have).

• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
