Would you like to bring your knowledge of Product Compliance, IT systems, and Master
data into use to certify that Hamamatsu Photonics products are safe and can be sold into
our markets world-wide?
Get hands -on experience within our Product Engineering Department. You will be part of the
Product Compliance team which strives to secure the product compliance data that is needed
to operate in our strategic markets and to support development projects with compliance
information that verify the safety of our new products.
In this role, we are looking for a resourceful and curious student who can assist in our data
enrichment work and continuous improvement of product compliance processes and tools. It is
a part-time position (15 to 20 hours per week on average). We will be flexible about working
hours to fit your classes and exams.
Your responsibilities
Not all days will be the same, and as you gain expertise and a broader knowledge of things, your tasks will expand. Examples of tasks are:
Product Compliance
Work with Global Product Compliance regulations
Support Global Market Access
Conduct risk assessment and safety concept review
Assist in gathering product compliance and trade compliance information from manufacturers.
Assist in uploading data to our Product Lifecycle Management system .
Validating data (ROHS, REACH , Conflict minerals etc.)
Work with data collection for Packaging and Waste regulation
Streamline Compliance processes
Your qualifications
You are currently enrolled in a study program related to Engineering, Sustainability , Product
Development in at least your second semester.
To be successful in this position, you need to have:

Ability to expertise yourself in a short amount of time.
Ability to analyze complex issues and find simple solutions.
General IT qualifications and a willingness to learn more.
Structured and analytical approach.
Data oriented mindset.

Clear and concise documentation skills.
Understanding of Product Compliance is a requirement .
Fluency in English (verbal and written).
Excel and PowerPoint skills
