As a Life Events Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing complex cases, applying provincial legislation, and processing transactions related to important life events experienced by plan members.

What You’ll Accomplish With Us
As a Life Events Analyst, you will be at the heart of our mission. Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze death notifications and related documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness;
- Review member files and legal documents to determine eligible beneficiaries and applicable tax implications based on various plan types and provincial legislation;
- Analyze separation agreements and other legal documents and apply the relevant legislation to process pension division payments;
- Perform calculations required to settle pension divisions in accordance with provincial legislation;
- Apply applicable legislation and perform calculations required for the implementation and administration of decumulation plans;
- Analyze requests to unlock funds held in locked-in accounts and determine member eligibility;
- Review legal documents and member files to determine payments to be made in cases of bankruptcy or garnishment and apply the appropriate legislation;
- Communicate with members and clients to obtain missing information or documentation;
- Collaborate with various internal teams in complex situations, particularly when conflicting information exists within legal documentation;
- Process payments accurately across multiple systems while meeting established service standards;
- Issue tax slips in accordance with legislative requirements;
- Analyze rejection and exception reports and take appropriate action;
- Perform peer reviews of analyses and financial transactions to ensure accuracy;
- Determine eligible beneficiaries or recipients in death, bankruptcy, or garnishment cases;
- Assess the compliance and completeness of documentation required to unlock locked-in funds.

The typical hiring range for this position is between $47,544 and $59,429; the base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity.
