DME Technician

Crown & Seasons Hospice, a family-owned company serving the community for over 25 years, is seeking a dependable and compassionate Part-Time On-Call Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Technician to support our patients and care teams in the Springfield area.

Pay: $18-$20

Position Overview

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the delivery, setup, maintenance, and retrieval of durable medical equipment for hospice patients. The ideal candidate is reliable, responsive, and comfortable working independently while providing exceptional service to patients and their families.

Schedule

• On-call coverage every 3rd weekend
• A few evenings/nights per week (flexible scheduling)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and provide instruction on DME equipment to patients and families
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Retrieve, clean, and sanitize equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records
• Respond promptly to urgent, on-call equipment needs

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage on-call responsibilities
• Experience with DME or healthcare equipment preferred, but not required
