The Business Readiness Deployment Lead ensures hRC user groups and sites are ready to adopt and sustain new processes and capabilities across multi‑wave S/4HANA enterprise deployments. The role provides leadership in readiness strategy, cross‑site/function coordination, process governance, cutover integration, scenario oversight, and executive alignment. This role applies established readiness methodology consistently across waves.

 

This is an ONSITE role at our Cedar Rapids, IA location.  Relocation is not available for this role.

 

What You Will Do:

 

1. User‑Group Governance & Decision Authority

  • Own readiness integrity for assigned user groups across all waves.
  • Approve user-group readiness playbooks and scenario governance.
  • Interpret site-level readiness signals and convert them into recommendations.

 

2. Strategic & Wave Leadership

  • Translate strategy into actionable multi-wave readiness plans.
  • Identify risks early and coordinate mitigation across sites and functions.
  • Provide executive-level readiness recommendations and drive continuous improvement.

 

3. Operational & Process Fluency

  • Understand hRC operational realities across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and aftermarket
  • Ensure consistent adoption of global processes and cross-SBU flows.
  • Identify and escalate systemic process gaps or structural design misalignments.

 

4. Readiness Management & Framework Ownership

  • Lead readiness reviews and validate readiness indicators and scorecards.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to enterprise readiness frameworks, templates, and wave gates.
  • Consolidate site-level insights into wave readiness views and coach sites through gaps.

 

5. Scenario & Validation Oversight

  • Support coordination of criteria for meaningful “day-in-the-life” scenario testing.
  • Assess scenario outcomes to determine true operational readiness
  • Identify multi-site patterns requiring cross-user-group mitigation.

 

6. Cutover & Deployment Leadership

  • Support cutover planning, rehearsals, and stabilization across sites
  • Identify cross-site/wave critical path dependencies impacting success.
  • Ensure consistent cutover methodology application and readiness for site go-live.

 

7. Change Leadership & Communication

  • Translate program impacts into clear, role-specific messaging
  • Enable site leaders to prepare their teams and navigate resistance
  • Influence across matrixed environments and build strong cross-functional relationships.

 

8. Problem Solving & Adaptability

  • Diagnose issues quickly and adjust plans without losing momentum.
  • Adapt to evolving requirements and operational constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Apply pattern recognition to improve readiness consistency wave-to-wave.

9. TRAVEL: Up to 25% travel expected, mostly within the U.S. with some international travel.

 

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
  • 7 years in business readiness, transformation leadership, or enterprise deployment
  • Experience leading multi-site or multi-wave readiness efforts.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and executive alignment skills
  • Requires deep management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across multiple related departments.
  • Operational knowledge of manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, or AM.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across large, matrixed organizations.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
