Hiring Range:

$119,912.00 - $152,131.20

(based on a full time schedule of 40 hours per week).

Please note that the final offer will vary based on scheduled hours. Compensation for part-time or reduced schedules will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Presurgical Evaluation team.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive health assessments, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and expert skill in the diagnosis and treatment of complex responses of individual, families, and communities to actual or potential health problems.
  • Analyzes data collected to determine health status and identify differential diagnoses based on history, physical exam, and clinical findings. Formulates clinical decisions to manage acute and chronic illnesses and promote wellness.
  • Partners with physicians regarding proposed plan of care. Formulates this plan of care with the patient.
  • Documents patient care outcomes to determine effectiveness of plan of care.
  • Integrates education, research and management, leadership and consultation into clinical role and functions in collegial relationships with nursing peers, physicians, professionals, and others who influence the health care environment
  • This is a 30-hour position, 7a-5p Monday-Friday

Position Qualifications:

  • Master or Doctoral degree from NP/PA accredited program and board certification is required
  • Massachusetts State License, State Controlled Substances Registration and Federal DEA Controlled Substance required
  • Acute Care/Critical Care clinical experience a plus, but not required
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred
