The key purpose of this role is to optimize production and allocation across the Southern countries to protect service levels, minimize lost sales and enable the commercial plan. The incumbent will develop long-term production plans, identify capacity constraints and opportunities, and use scenario planning to balance cost, inventory and customer demand. The role serves as a key connection between Supply Chain Design, Supply and Demand Planning, ensuring risks and opportunities are clearly communicated through the S&OP process. The incumbent will also manage key planning inputs, including finished goods cash flow forecasts, production KPIs, least-cost modelling and inventory policies.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Publish an optimized monthly long term production plan from M+2 with at least a rolling 12 months incorporating WSNP handover
  • Monthly Production plan with cost and allocation optimization solving for lost sales down to DC level
  • Manage key Supply Planning KPI’s & Costs (T1 VLC; CONA & Allocation Efficiency; WSNP efficiency)
  • Lead and prepare Supply Review deck in accordance with TOR and
  • Sign off on monthly inventory LE’s to cash flow team
  • Ensure monthly ‘handshake’ on S&OP process between WSNP & CONA teams as well as with the Supply team
  • Attending all S&OP routines and S&OE
  • Input analysis  - demand publish accuracy
  • Input analysis – capacity, capability, line speeds, NPD and project timelines. 
  • Output analysis – Lost sales
  • Output analysis – IR movements and T1 cost

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build rapport and influence across all levels in the organization
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills required across different levels of seniority in the organization



Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidate should have a Bachelors degree with a preference but not restricted to Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics qualifications
  • A minimum of 5-year Planning experience required
  • An orientation towards the quantitative disciplines of mathematics, statistics and economics would be advantageous
  • Excellent analytical understanding and strong excel capabilities advantageous
  • Effective numeracy and analytical skills & problem solving at both operational and tactical levels
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build rapport and influence across all levels in the organization


Additional Information:

  • Based between ZHQ (Bryanston) and Nocc office (Sandton) as per schedule and requirements
  • Reporting to the Supply Network Planning Manager
  • Works closely with WSNP; SCD; SNP; IMEX operational teams and country teams.
  • Occasional travel to within the zone may be required
  • Band VI
