Job Description

As a Security Officer College Campus Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, residence-adjacent areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus stakeholders and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
