## About this Role
We are seeking an experienced commercial pricing professional to provide senior pricing leadership for complex, high-value technology opportunities during the pre-signature phase.
Within Technology Commercial Support - Growth, you will shape robust, competitive and governable commercial constructs for opportunities typically valued at €10–30 million TCV, as well as acting as pricing lead within larger and more complex bids. You will define pricing strategies, build and assure complex financial models, evaluate commercial risks and scenarios, and ensure pricing submissions meet required quality, governance and timeline standards.
You will work across defined strategic accounts, sub-accounts and opportunity portfolios, collaborating with TAMs, Senior TAMs, Pricing, Finance, Solution SMEs, VOIS, VCI and Digital & IT stakeholders. Within Growth governance, you will have responsibility for setting pricing strategy and commercial constructs while identifying and escalating material commercial risks or deviations.
## What you’ll do
Pricing and Commercial Design
Shape end-to-end commercial constructs for new opportunities, ensuring the pricing approach reflects the overall deal strategy and risk profile.
Define pricing strategies that balance market competitiveness, margin protection and sustainable long-term value.
Build, review and assure complex pricing and financial models, including sensitivity, profitability and scenario analysis.
Apply relevant commercial constructs, including Time & Materials (T&M), Managed Services, output-based and gain-share pricing.
Clearly document and govern pricing assumptions, dependencies, risks and commercial guardrails.
Provide robust commercial analysis and competitor insights to support informed pricing decisions.
Bid Support and Governance
Coordinate commercial inputs for RFI and RFP responses and proposal submissions.
Assure the quality, consistency, accuracy and completeness of pricing artefacts, submission packs and governance documentation.
Support pipeline qualification and pricing approval processes in accordance with Growth governance.
Coordinate with solutioning, pricing and commercial support teams to maintain the quality and timely delivery of RFPs and opportunities.
Drive commercial activities throughout opportunities and ensure relevant stakeholders remain aligned.
Enable effective transition from Growth into BAU by establishing clear pricing assumptions and commercial guardrails.
Provide pricing leadership within bid squads and guide TW11 commercial support resources.
Stakeholder and Customer Engagement
Build effective relationships with key stakeholders within VOIS and with customer-side service owners and service leads.
Collaborate with TAMs, Senior TAMs, Finance, Pricing, Solution SMEs, VCI and Digital & IT leaders.
Participate in customer engagements and contribute commercial expertise to shaping deals and solutions.
Communicate complex pricing issues, options and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
Manage competing priorities and commercial pricing activities across multiple customers.
Performance and Commercial Outcomes
Contribute to pricing competitiveness and successful deal outcomes.
Protect margins and support value realisation on signed deals.
Maintain high standards of quality and governance across pricing models and commercial artefacts.
Deliver pricing inputs for bids and proposals within agreed timelines.
Support effective transition of pricing assumptions and commercial commitments into BAU execution.
## Who you are
You combine extensive pricing expertise with strong commercial judgement and the ability to translate complex deal economics into clear, governable commercial recommendations.
You will bring:
Extensive pricing or commercial support experience within IT services, telecommunications or systems integration.
Typically 15–18 years of overall professional experience, including approximately 7–10 years in senior pricing, bid or commercial roles.
Expert capability in pricing and financial modelling.
Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
Strong commercial acumen with a detailed understanding of deal economics, profitability and commercial risk drivers.
The ability to design and clearly articulate pricing strategies for complex technology opportunities.
Strong working knowledge of T&M, Managed Services, output-based and gain-share pricing constructs.
Experience conducting scenario, sensitivity and profitability analysis.
High attention to detail combined with a disciplined approach to commercial governance and quality.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including effective communication with senior stakeholders.
The ability to apply market and competitor insight to pricing decisions.
The ability to prioritise and manage commercial activities across multiple customers and opportunities.
Demonstration of Vodafone Spirit behaviours.
Experience acting as a pricing authority on large, complex, multi-tower deals is preferred.
A postgraduate qualification in Finance, Business, IT or Management is highly desirable.
