About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a respected specialist joinery company based in Haverhill. They are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis, operating 3.5 tonne vans or 7.5 tonne vehicles.
This is a versatile position involving the transport of high-quality finished joinery products, specialist wooden goods, and crafted items to client sites, commercial partners, and distribution depots across the region. If you are currently a 3.5 tonne driver looking to advance your career, our client is happy to fund and support your training to obtain your 7.5 tonne licence.

Who Might Suit This Role:
This role is ideal for an experienced 7.5t Driver, Cat C1 Driver, 3.5t Van Driver, or Commercial Driver seeking a steady weekday schedule with clear progression.
If you have a background as a Courier, Furniture Delivery Driver, Trade Counter Driver, Yard Operative, or Removals Driver, your transferable skills in load care, route navigation, and physical handling will suit this role well. Experience in joinery distribution or specialist trade supplies is beneficial, but good general commercial driving experience is fully welcomed.

What We’re Looking For:
- A valid UK driving licence with Category B (3.5t) or Category C1 (7.5t) entitlement
- For 7.5 tonne driving, a valid Driver CPC (DQC card) and Digital Tachograph card are required
- Must be aged 25 or over due to company vehicle insurance requirements
- A clean driving licence is desirable, but drivers with minor endorsements or points are still encouraged to apply
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and handling high-quality finished joinery items safely and with care
- Strong team player who is equally confident working independently on the road
- Previous experience in commercial driving or multi-stop routes is a definite advantage
