P&H Milling

P&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chappati. In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea fractions.

From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Acton, Hanover, Hamilton, and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P&H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.

Your Role

The Sanitation role is responsible for the overall cleaning and sanitation of the plant, including equipment, machinery, and production areas to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Day to Day

Wage: $24.90 per hour

This is a temporary 6-month contract position.

Shifts:
Days: 7:00-15:00
Afternoons: 15:00-23:00 
Weekends as required

• Perform cleaning of plant areas, machinery, and equipment
• Remove garbage and unnecessary materials from the mill
• Vacuuming, sweeping, and other general housekeeping tasks
• Participate in fumigation/heat treatment cleanup (including working in high temperatures)
• Comply with all health, safety, and food safety procedures and training requirements
• Train in Fall Arrest as required
• Wear company-supplied clothing and mandatory PPE
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Strong ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Understanding of quality control practices and BRCGS food safety regulations
• Able to safely lift up to 25kg bags
