AI Architect

Overview

TITAN Group is looking for an experienced AI Architect to act as the global lead and subject matter expert for all AI related initiatives (including GenAI) across the organization. The position will be based at TITAN’s headquarters in Athens, Greece.

 

This role needs to operate both at the strategic architecture level and at the hands-on AI engineering and implementation layer. It sits at the intersection of business transformation and technical delivery.

 

The role will implement scalable AI solutions by designing the architecture and the orchestration layer of AI and agentic solutions, implement the necessary AI platforms in collaboration with the Technology, Cybersecurity, Governance, Data Management and Digital Solutions units of the Group, , oversee end-to-end AI project delivery, operate the platforms in alignment with operational and financial targets of the Group, and ensure responsible and compliant AI adoption aligned with business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Design an overall AI orchestration architecture, including the blueprint for the respective AI platforms and their integration with the overall IT and digital technology stack of the Group.
• Design AI pipelines including RAG architectures, LLM orchestration layers, agent workflows, and evaluation frameworks.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into secure, scalable, production-grade technical blueprints.
• Define reference architectures, reusable patterns, and engineering standards for AI adoption at scale.
• Vendor and Platform Evaluation.
• Write production-quality Python and related frameworks.
• Integrate and validate MVPs, PoCs, and deploy acquired AI solutions.
• Implement agentic AI systems: tool use, multi-agent orchestration, MCPs memory management, and autonomous decision workflows.
• Deploy and integrate AI components into enterprise applications, APIs, data platforms, and third-party systems.
• Design observability stacks: prompt monitoring, model response tracking, vector retrieval quality, agent execution workflows.
• Manage model lifecycle: versioning, drift detection, evaluation-driven development, retraining pipelines and address bias, fairness, and transparency in AI systems.
• Optimize inference cost, latency, and throughput at scale.
• Establish and enforce AI governance frameworks: auditability, data privacy, model risk management.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards (IAM, encryption, regulatory requirements).
• Develop methodologies and implement tools for monitoring and optimizing cost of AI usage at the Group (cloud compute, LLM tokens, licensing etc) in close collaboration with the FinOps unit.
• Drive responsible AI practices across multi-team, multi-vendor environments.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior leadership and business units.
• Mentor engineers and architects; foster a culture of engineering excellence.
• Lead knowledge-sharing, community building, and internal AI enablement initiatives.
• Stay ahead of the AI landscape and introduce new tools, frameworks, and patterns to elevate team capability.

Candidate Profile

Technical skills

• Deep expertise in AI and LLM architecture patterns: AI engineering and orchestration, RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, multi-model strategies.
• Hands-on with orchestration frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel.
• Experience with foundation model evaluation, vector databases, and embedding strategies.
• Knowledge of both open-source and commercial LLM ecosystems.
• Knowledge of APIs. MCPs & Integration technologies and protocols.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with main AI coding languages (ML and GenAI/LLM frameworks and Cloud Platforms AI ecosystems and toolkits, with an emphasis on Azure.
• Knowledge of how AI influences design and operation of Group’s Data Architecture (eg SQL, vector databases, data pipelines, APIs, event-driven systems).
• Expertise in AI and GenAI agents governance including security: IAM, encryption, enterprise governance, compliance controls. 

Experience & Additional qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (postgraduate degree preferred) in relevant fields (computer science, AI Engineering, or other STEM-related field).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant position.
• Proven experience in implementing and operating AI architectures and orchestration layers in complex environments. Experience in industrial environments integrating OT and IT data and operational improvement AI use cases would be a plus.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex strategic initiatives, incl. in multinational environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders in multinational environments.
• Passion for coaching and developing early-career professionals, supporting capability building and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Collaborative mindset with excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally across TITAN Group's Business Units and operations, as required.
