Description
Ready to lead the team that powers the bank's single source of financial truth, shaping planning, forecasting and performance decisions enterprise-wide?
At ING Australia, we believe in empowering our people to do their best work. We foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and inclusion, where fresh ideas are encouraged, achievements are celebrated, and career growth is supported. If you're looking to make a meaningful impact in a high-performing, customer-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.
We’re seeking a Lead, Financial Planning & Consolidation Manager to own Finance’s bank-wide financial fact base, consolidation, executive reporting production and planning rhythm across Retail, Wholesale Banking and Corporate Functions.
What you'll do
Lead and develop a high-performing team that sits at the centre of Finance’s planning, reporting and consolidation rhythm.
Be the owner of the bank’s trusted financial fact base, ensuring Finance outputs are consistent, reconciled, controlled and ready for senior decision-making.
Drive executive reporting production across Actuals, Forecast and Planning cycles, with strong quality assurance and clear submission readiness.
Shape consistent reporting definitions, templates, version control and quality standards so outputs are reusable, efficient and executive-ready.
Coordinate the bank-wide forecast and planning process, including governance, timelines, handoffs and quality gates.
Bring Retail, Wholesale Banking and Corporate Functions together around aligned assumptions, consistent outputs and a coherent bank-wide outlook.
Challenge inconsistencies and connect the dots across income, cost, FTE, balance sheet and key drivers to support one trusted total-bank financial narrative.
Embed strong controls and practical process improvements that lift data quality, reduce rework and make Finance outputs easier to trust and use.
Own Finance requirements for EPM structures, hierarchies, mappings and reporting design changes that support better consolidation, planning and management reporting.
What we're looking for
CA, CPA (or equivalent), with strong management accounting, consolidation and planning-cycle expertise
Advanced Excel and strong ability to work with financial data
Strong understanding of planning structures, reporting controls, data quality and financial system / hierarchy impacts.
Demonstrated people leadership
Experience in Banking, Financial services or a regulated, complex environment is desirable
Clear and collaborative communication style and ability to influence senior stakeholders
Proven track record of delivering process improvements
Demonstrate a high attention to detail and delivery discipline

It is expected that any employee applying for a vacant position would have been in their current role for a minimum of twelve (12) months before applying. This may be waived in special circumstances and after consultation with your manager
