We are currently seeking a skilled and committed individual to join our team as a:
CHILD PROTECTION WORKER:
Permanent Full Time
$70,031 - $92,066 per year
(34 hours per week)
Under the mandate of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, major responsibilities include:
The investigation of complaints and referrals received concerning children possibly in need of protection; providing protection services to an assigned caseload; requests for service to adolescents and child abuse referrals; provision of emergency / crisis intervention service when required; providing organizational and administrative duties associated with the assigned caseload; working as an active team member, which includes back-up when necessary and participation in unit meetings.
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor of Social Work and/or a Master of Social Work from an accredited post-secondary educational institution. Candidates must also have a valid Ontario driver’s license, access to a personal vehicle with a minimum occupancy of 4 – 5 passengers, and proof of two-million-dollar liability insurance coverage. The successful candidate will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector check, and a Driver’s Abstract from the Ministry of Transportation, satisfactory to the agency
