This versatile role combines the responsibilities of maintaining and servicing pressure control equipment and downhole tools with shop operations, inventory management, and the transportation of parts and equipment to field locations. Requirements
Key Responsibilities
BOP & Downhole Tool Maintenance
- Inspect, service, repair, and maintain blowout preventers (BOPs), pack-offs, reel swivels, lubricators, pressure control iron, and downhole tools (BPVs, etc.).
- Perform and document pressure testing and certifications following repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate inspection, maintenance, and testing records.
- Assist in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide technical support to field personnel.
- Coordinate with dispatch and management to track and document iron inspections and testing.
Shop Operations & Inventory
- Receive, store, organize, and issue supplies, tools, spare parts, and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of expendable materials and replacement parts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop, testing station, yard, and storage areas.
- Conduct routine inspections of company trailers and equipment, including lights, tires, tags, and registrations.
- Report maintenance concerns and coordinate repairs as needed.
Hotshot & Delivery Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to pick up and deliver parts, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Deliver critical equipment and materials to field personnel, operators, and customers as needed.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and securing equipment for transport.
- Maintain compliance with all company driving, safety, and transportation policies.
Additional Responsibilities
- Train and mentor apprentice-level personnel when assigned.
- Participate in required safety meetings and training programs.
- Follow all company, customer, local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment, random, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
**Preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience with coiled tubing operations, pressure control equipment, BOP servicing, downhole tools, oilfield maintenance, or related mechanical work.
- Experience with inventory control and shop operations.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience towing trailers and operating pickup trucks safely.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and carry over 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
- Manual dexterity, hand strength, and depth perception required.

Employees earn vacation based on years of service, with 40 hours after 1 year, 80 hours after 2 years, 120 hours after 5 years, and 160 hours after 15 years.
