AS743 - Live-in Nanny - Needham, MA

Overview

A sweet family in Needham, a suburb of Boston, is seeking a full-time live-in nanny for their three girls, ages 7, 6, and 4, with a fourth child due in April. The family will have a newborn care specialist for approximately 6 months, after which time the nanny will be responsible for the infant as well. The mother stays at home and is very involved- all three older children are in school full-time so the nanny should feel comfortable working as a team and coordinating with mom to handle the girls' busy schedules. The schedule for this role is generally 7-11am, and then 2-7pm. The family will guarantee 40+ hours per week, with overtime for date nights, overnights, and days when the girls don't have school. The accommodations for this role are a private bedroom and bathroom on its own floor, and the family will provide a car for the nanny to use as well. 

Responsibilities

• Handle all childcare, including supervising meal, hygiene, and bedtime routines  
• Accompany the children to and from school as needed
• Plan and engage the children in creative, educational, and developmentally appropriate activities
• Encourage learning, independence, curiosity, and positive social development
• Plan and accompany the children to extracurriculars, outings, and activities
• Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks for the children
• Children's laundry 
• Keep the children's bedrooms, play areas, nursery, and other shared spaces tidy and well organized throughout the day
• Work collaboratively with a busy stay at home mom to create a cohesive team environment  
• Baby care, including managing sleep and feeding schedules, rotating and sanitizing toys as needed, and providing developmentally appropriate enrichment, and monitoring nursery inventory, resupplying as needed 
• Travel with the family as needed in the summer and during school breaks. This role requires working Thanksgiving

Qualifications

• Warm and kind, with a positive attitude 
• Experience caring for multiple children of different developmental stages, including infants 
• Creative, engaging, and enthusiastic about planning enriching activities
• Playful and happy to get on the floor and play with the children 
• Calm, dependable, and proactive with excellent judgment
• Comfortable in the kitchen and willing to cook for the children 
• Organized and attentive to detail- mom keeps a tidy and organized household 
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Reliable, punctual, and looking for a long-term position with one family

Requirements

• US work authorization
• Comfortable working with a small dog (25lbs) 
• Confident driver (the family will provide a car for the nanny)
• Able to swim and supervise children in the pool and ocean
• Able to travel domestically and internationally 

Salary and Benefits
