AC252 -URGENT Temporary Weekend Nanny/Governess - Greenwich, CT

Overview

A wonderful family in Greenwich, CT, is seeking a temporary weekend nanny or governess for Saturday and Sunday, 7am to 7 pm. This role will commence ASAP and run through Dec. 1 or Dec. 18th dependent on the successful candidate’s availability. The candidate will provide childcare support to a family with four children, focused on 3 boys aged 6, 5, and 1.5. The family has a one-month old infant who has an NCS. The position will require standard childcare responsibilities (activity making, ensuring tidy play areas, feeding meals, establishing routines, and support in teaching manners/etiquette). The position will also require the candidate to drive the children utilizing the family's vehicle for specific child-related transport. 

Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

• Standard child-care duties including feeding, bathing, dressing, morning and evening routines
• Responsible for school pick up/drop offs (if applicable)
• Scheduling naptime and mealtime
• Keep living spaces and clothing clean and tidy
• Prepare healthy meals and clean up after meals
• Pack and prepare all the children’s items for travel
• Ensure a safe and fun atmosphere for the children
• Work with parents to ensure the children’s growth and social development
• Ability to work well and collaboratively with others, noting the household as needed
• Researching and bringing the children to age-appropriate enrichment activities or playdates
• Recommend enrichment products to parents for their determination
• Tracking and recording children’s supplies and inventory (diapers, wipes, bottles, etc.)
• Administer medication as directed unless an emergency arises
• Organized, punctual, and respectful of the family’s space in terms of keeping the household tidy
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be highly discreet and respectful of boundaries
• Record of punctuality
• Ability to be private and discreet
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to travel preferred

Requirements

• Certification in Early Childhood Development or a similar degree is highly preferred
• Valid driver’s license, favorable driving record, and reliable vehicle
• First Aid and CPR Certified
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally preferred
• Experience working as a nanny supporting a family with a large extended family
• At least 2 years of experience nannying at least two children under 5 years old
• Available for immediate start
• Legal to work in the U.S.

Salary and Benefits

The family is offering $45+/hr, depending on experience
