Overview
CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full time Second Engineer to join our cement carrier Goliath on a roster schedule 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. This operation is based in the Bass Strait. Reporting to the First Engineer, the Second Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of the main engine auxiliary engines.

How will you contribute to our success?
The Second Engineer will be responsible for:
- The safe operation of the main engine in accordance with Class and Standing Orders;
- Safe operation of the boiler in accordance with Class and Standing Orders;
- Performing day work in conjunction with a rotating 24 hour system of Gear Turn;
- Any other duties as required.
The skills you will bring to our team
Basic Requirements
- Educational requirement: as per AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer Class 2 (required)
- AMSA Engineer (Class 2) CoC/CoR Unlimited
- Minimum 3 years sea time as an Engine Watchkeeper(required)
- Certificate of Safety Training (STCW) (desirable)
- Work Safely at Heights Certification (desirable)
- Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification (desirable)
- Hold, or be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) (required)
- Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian Working Rights
- Living in Australia
