We’re looking for a Solution Consultant to join our China Commercial team, a customer-facing technical solutioning role at the intersection of customers, sales and products. You’ll help enterprise merchants translate business needs into scalable payment solutions, while bringing customer and market insights back into product discussions.

What you’ll own

• Lead professional solutioning discussions with China-based and cross-border merchants, leading the progress to clarify business objectives, technical requirements, product fits and expected outcomes.
• Visualise concepts and solution architecture through clear diagrams, flowcharts and structured materials that explain payment flows, connectivity, data movement, dependencies and handover scope.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Implementation and Sales teams to assess solution feasibility, position Worldpay capabilities, support pilots and ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to delivery.
• Apply a structured approach to solution development by breaking complex requirements into manageable components, identifying actions, and proposing practical solutions aligned with commercial priorities.
• Communicate solution considerations, decisions and recommendations clearly to support alignment across internal teams and customer stakeholders.
• Translate customer feedback, market trends and merchant requirements into structured insights that help Product and Engineering teams assess priorities, pilots and future solution opportunities.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you’ll bring

• Experience in solution consulting, product management, technical pre-sales, implementation consulting or another product or technology role, ideally within payments, fintech, SaaS or enterprise technology.
• Solid understanding of enterprise payment solutions, payment schemes, integration models, APIs, acquiring, risk considerations and the broader payments ecosystem, or a strong ability to learn complex technical products quickly.
• Confidence in visualising technical or product concepts through diagrams, architecture views, flowcharts or similar tools; familiarity with structured diagramming methods such as UML is helpful.
• Strong product and technical curiosity, with the ability to understand APIs, data flows, architecture options and operational constraints, then explain them clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to think like a client by understanding merchant business goals, asking the right discovery questions and translating requirements into practical, technically sound solution options.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to facilitate interactive customer discussions, simplify technical topics and influence without relying on one-way presentations.
• Owner mindset, curiosity and willingness to learn new products, support pilots, engage confidently with Product and Engineering, and use AI or other tools thoughtfully to improve solution quality and efficiency.

The China Solution Consulting team sits close to customers, Sales, Product, Engineering and Implementation. The role is technical, collaborative and commercially focused.
