Student - Campus Recreation Marketing Assistant

The opportunity

The Campus Recreation Department at Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Assistant (student employee) to support its outreach and promotional efforts. This role offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing strategy, content creation, and community engagement while contributing to the visibility and success of Campus Recreation programs and events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and design of marketing materials (print, digital, and social media)
• Create and schedule engaging content for departmental social media platforms
• Participate in team planning meetings to brainstorm campaign ideas and engagement strategies
• Support execution of marketing campaigns for events, programs, and services
• Conduct research to support marketing efforts and audience engagement
• Track performance metrics and compile reports on campaign effectiveness
• Capture and edit photos/videos for use in promotional materials (personal camera required)
• Represent the Campus Recreation brand while engaging with the SNHU community

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a degree program at Southern New Hampshire University
• Eligible for Federal Work-Study as part of the financial aid package
• Students with work study may be prioritized
• Access to and ability to use a personal camera for photography/video assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current CPR/AED certification (training provided if needed)

Work Schedule:

• 10–15 hours per week, depending on availability and department needs
• Evening and weekend availability required

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
