Associate Regional Director
Summary:Represent the regional office in carrying out the regional function to ensure good Young Life ministry in that region. As well as knowing and upholding all Young Life policies and procedures.
Ministry Functions:
Spiritual Development– “following Jesus.” Includes: Prayer and spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth and health and church relationships
Leadership Development – “Equipping leaders, committee and staff.” Includes: Key volunteer care, recruiting, teambuilding and training, supervision and vision casting.
Resource Development– “fueling the ministry.” Includes events, major donor care, public relations (branding) and TDS team.
Direct Ministry– “Proclaiming and discipling.” Includes contact work, club, campaigners and camp.
Ministry Support – “Taking care of business” Accounting, administration, communication (internal), data management and strategic plan.

ARD Southcoast Region
The Southcoast is a strong region with significant opportunity for expanded impact. We are looking for an Associate Regional Director to help us grow and develop. This person will be a direct extension of the Regional Directors leadership, will spend most of their time supporting local ministries, and will own several things in the region such as:
- Health and growth of multiple metro and typical areas
- Be a key partner in vision casting and developing strong culture
- Partnership enabling our Regional Leadership Team
- Partnership with RD and Development Director to identify new regional donors and board members
- Volunteer recruitment initiatives to help cultivate a volunteer movement
- Ownership of a couple annual events/experiences (EX: staff retreat, weekend camps, leader and committee summit, etc.)
This position requires someone who has displayed:

- An ability to effectively lead from afar (while regular face to face time is normal and expected, our regional team is often leading from afar)
- Strong ability to fundraise for regional initiatives and personal support.
The Southcoast region covers San Diego, Orange, and Riverside Counties. Our regional leadership team has regular meetings in the northern part of San Diego. We have over 600 volunteers and approximately 100 staff. We are lucky to be in close proximity in our region which allows us to gather consistently with our staff teams. Our goal for this role is to build on the incredible culture that has been developed over the past decade. This person will oversee and manage staff in all parts of our region, giving them the opportunity to influence Young Life in each of our counties!
In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is outlined below. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the United States.
The anticipated salary rate for this position can range from $76,150 - $132,000 depending on relevant education, experience, and location
