JOB PURPOSE

The National Clinical Nurse Manager, reporting to the Senior Director, Medical and Regulatory Affairs, is a key member of the Canadian Medical Affairs team and is responsible for leading the national nursing education strategy for infusion clinics across Canada. This role will lead, mentor, and support Nurse Clinical Educators while advancing clinical education, improving the patient infusion journey, and strengthening engagement with nursing expert groups and external stakeholders.

The role works cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Patient Access, and other internal stakeholders to ensure aligned, compliant, and high-quality education and support for healthcare professionals and clinical infusion teams.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Nursing Education Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of the national nursing education strategy for infusion clinics across Canada.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a national team of Nurse Clinical Educators delivering education and support to infusion clinic teams.

  • Ensure consistency, quality, and clinical excellence in nursing education programs, materials, and field execution.

  • Identify gaps, trends, and opportunities within nursing education and infusion practice, and translate insights into practical improvements.

Patient Infusion Journey & Clinic Support

  • Improve and optimize the patient’s infusion journey, with a strong focus on education, safety, consistency, and patient experience.

  • Deliver or oversee best-in-class education and support for nursing staff in infusion clinics, including on-site and virtual programs.

  • Work collaboratively with potential and established patient support programs to help facilitate and enhance the patient journey.

  • Support insight generation and feedback loops to continuously improve nursing education, materials, clinic engagement, and patient outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & External Engagement

  • Partner cross-functionally with Commercial Field, Medical Field, Patient Access, and other internal stakeholders to ensure aligned, compliant, and effective engagement.

  • Engage with nursing expert groups, advisory bodies, and relevant external stakeholders to gather insights and contribute to the advancement of infusion nursing practice.

  • Provide clinical and educational input into relevant materials, programs, and initiatives that support infusion clinic teams and patient care.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all nursing education and external engagement activities are conducted in accordance with applicable Health Canada and IMC Code and, internal policies, and company procedures.

  • Maintain high standards of integrity, documentation accuracy, and compliance in all activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Registered Nurse (RN); active or eligible Canadian registration preferred.

  • Additional education, certification, or training in infusion nursing, clinical education, healthcare leadership, or a related area is an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing nursing teams is essential (i.e. performance management, coaching, and recruitment

  • Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience is essential.

  • Experience with iron infusion is preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in clinical education, field-based education, or leading distributed teams is considered an asset.

  • Experience working with infusion clinics, patient support programs, or healthcare provider education programs is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire nursing teams in a field-based or geographically distributed model.

  • Strong communication, presentation, education, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to interpret clinical information and translate it into clear, practical education for nursing and clinic audiences.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify educational gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional, matrix environment.

  • High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.

Other requirements

  • Travel required – up to approximately 40% nationally.

  • Languages: English required; French is an asset.

  • Preferred location: Greater Toronto Area; other Canada-based locations may be considered.

COMPENSATION

  • 40 hours/week

  • The anticipated salary range for this role is $110,000 to $130,000, plus a bonus based on performance.

  • Actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, demonstrated competencies, internal equity considerations, and overall alignment with the role's requirements.
