About our property:

  The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Lead Engineer is responsible for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects. Ensure proper completion and timeliness of work orders to enable prompt input of data. Monitor productivity, schedule, and distribute the workload among the Engineering staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 

· Assist in assigning and verifying completion of routine maintenance to ensure the hotel’s physical structure and operation is mainted to the highest standards ensuring safety and efficiency. This includes all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment.

· Visually inspect quality of work and assist in the direction of staff in tasks according to performance and productivity standards.

· Help manage the day-to-day operations of the maintenance shop. This includes maintaining parts and supply inventories, ordering materials, monitoring MMS by assigning work tickets and following up to ensure completeness.

· Assign, monitor, and follow up on all Preventative Maintenance programs.

· Assist the Director of Property Operations in administrating programs involving electrical, mechanical, and general construction of repairs and maintenance of existing facilities equipment.

· Ensure maintenance shop, mechanical rooms, and storage areas are kept clean and in order. Monitor tool room daily to ensure all tools are accounted for and in good condition.

What are we looking for?

EDUCATION

· High school diploma or equivalent, required

· Training or Apprenticeship in mechanics, carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and/or electrical, preferred

EXPERIENCE

· At least four (4) years experience in maintenance trades to include electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry in a complex facility, required

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

· EPA Universal Technician Certification, preferred

· Certification in mechanics, carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and/or electrical, preferred

· Valid Arizona Driver’s License, preferred

· CPR / First Aid Certified, preferred

· CPO Certification, preferred
