Overview

Join Artex as a Client Accounting Manager. Based in Guernsey, this role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and professional environment where your expertise will contribute to delivering tailored insurance and risk management solutions. You’ll play a pivotal role in providing accurate and timely accounting services to clients, boards of directors, and insurance staff, while also driving the development of efficient in-house accounting systems.

How you'll make an impact

In this role, you’ll:

• Deliver professional client accounting services, ensuring the timely provision of accurate and complete financial information.
• Actively participate in board meetings, presenting financial insights and reviewing minutes and matters arising.
• Oversee the preparation and review of management accounts, statutory financial statements, and tax returns, ensuring compliance with UK/US GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant standards.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports tailored to client needs.
• Manage client funds in line with board strategies, minimising currency and credit risk exposures.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including solvency monitoring and filings with the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC).
• Contribute to the development of the client accounting function and mentor junior team members.

About you

• A fully qualified accountant or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly.
• A collaborative mindset, with a passion for mentoring and developing team members.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and a commitment to ethical and professional conduct.
