Permit Coordinator
AAA Service Plumbing, Heating & Electric is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Permit Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in keeping projects on track by managing the permitting and inspection process from start to finish. Working closely with our operations, field, and administrative teams, you'll help ensure every residential and commercial plumbing project meets local, county, and state requirements while delivering a seamless experience for both our customers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, submit, and track permit applications for Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Sewer & Drain installations, repairs, and remodels.
- Communicate with city and county permitting departments to ensure timely approvals.
- Monitor the status of active permits and proactively resolve delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all permits, inspections, and related documentation.
- Schedule required inspections with local authorities or third-party agencies.
- Coordinate inspection timing with project managers, technicians, and customers.
- Follow up on inspection outcomes and manage re-inspections if needed.
- Ensure all work is permitted and inspected in compliance with jurisdictional codes and regulations.
- Stay current on local permitting requirements, building codes, and ordinances.
- Maintain compliance documentation for audit or licensing purposes.
- Act as the liaison between the company, municipalities, and customers for all permit-related matters.
- Communicate permit status updates to technicians, managers, and customers.
- Provide administrative support for the operations team as needed.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of local permitting systems and plumbing-related codes (a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital permitting portals.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
