Working Shop Foreman - Columbia, TN

Martin Transportation Systems has an opening for a Working Shop Foreman at our Columbia, TN. This position would be 1st shift, Monday through Friday..  As this is a working position, the ideal candidate would have both managerial skills and experience, along with heavy duty truck experience.

REQUIRMENTS:

• Experience using Class 8 software for tractors and trailers

• Knowledge and experience with the following engine systems:

  • Cummins
  • Detroit

• Knowledge of different tires & cost of maintaining tires on tractors and trailers

• Cost of maintaining tractors and trailers

• Maintain and preserve proper inventory management

• Effective Communication skills

• Effective leadership skills

Position Qualifications:

• Professionalism-in both employee management and customer service

• Strong Communication Skills

• Lead mechanic experience, minimum 3 years

• Knowledge of compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations a plus.

• Demonstrated track record of achievement and success

• Competitive and driven to succeed
