Job Description
What you’ll do
- Act as the main point of contact for item master, purchase orders, supply scheduling, escalations related to the Thermal Services - Combustion capital commodity.
- Use SAP PowerMax (PMx) as the primary ERP system for materials management activities.
- Lead part number activation through the OSIP process, ensuring timely establishment of sourcing, lead time, cost, and pricing data.
- Maintain relevant item master records and planning parameters in ERP and supporting tools to enable effective supply scheduling.
- Manage the creation, amendment, maintenance, and follow-up of purchase orders, primarily in org 9S81.
- For POs issued to org 110H, perform weekly pegging and first SO date updates to maintain accurate confirmed delivery dates in org 9S81.
- Oversee vendor direct shipments from suppliers in scope to customers.
- Resolve warehouse non-conformity requests, invoicing issues, documentation gaps, purchase order execution problems.
- Arrange modification of existing inventory when required.
- Partner with Demand and Purchasing teams, manufacturing sites, other stakeholders to identify, communicate, and resolve barriers to supply plan execution.
- Lead an effective and transparent Thermal Services - Weekly Operating Rhythm.
- Lead development of the annual supply budget and tracking of current-year budget attainment.
- Use Lean principles to simplify processes, reduce waste, improve execution discipline.
- Follow all environmental, health, safety, and integrity requirements and comply with applicable business policies and procedures.
- Act independently within defined scope while using sound judgment and escalating when appropriate.
- Perform additional tasks not listed in this job description when assigned verbally or in writing by the immediate people leader or reporting line leader.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in supply chain management, logistics, economics, business management, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in supply chain management, materials management, supply scheduling, manufacturing operations, global supplier management, or customer-facing operations.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Experience with the SAP PowerMax (PMx) ERP system.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a matrixed, global organization.
- Lean mindset with a focus on standard work, problem solving, simplification, and waste elimination.
What will make you stand out
- Relevant experience within the Gas Power industry and gas turbine operations in manufacturing, new units, or services environments.
- Proven experience in materials management while working with global cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with materials management disciplines, including supply planning, supply scheduling, supply execution, S&OE, and SI&OP.
- Experience with PowerPLM GTCC or similar PLM systems, with understanding of bill of materials and part number lifecycle processes.
- Familiarity with Excel Power Query (Get & Transform) or other data transformation and reporting tools.
- APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certification.
