Description
Eaton’s EPG LAC Latin AmericaCaribbean Division division is currently seeking a Plant Manager. This position is onsite for our Porto Feliz, Br. It requires 10% travel.
## Job Summary
As a member of Eaton’s Executive Leadership Team, the Plant Manager leads the overall performance of the manufacturing site, with responsibility for P&L, operational excellence, and long-term growth. This role drives improvements in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and financial results through the Eaton Business System (EBS), while fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture and ensuring alignment with corporate and divisional strategies to achieve world-class manufacturing performance.
## What you’ll do:
Essential functions:
- Manage both operational leadership team and functional staff including Quality, Finance, Continuous Improvement, Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Engineering and Maintenance.
- Act with analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to drive results within tight deadlines with changing priorities.
- Utilize Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing tools to lead cost improvement analysis and implement actionable, measurable plans.
- Champion a workplace focused on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to drive a zero-incident culture.
- Work collaboratively to end cost improvement analysis and implement actions.
- Foster a culture of early detection and escalations across the site to reduce cost, drive efficiency and ensure compliance.
- Partner with Human Resources to drive a talent management strategy, developing a capable team leader to build a strong succession plan within and outside your organization.
## Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field from an accredited institution required.
- MBA Master degree in administration from an accredited institution preferred.
- Extensive experience in Manufacturing Management positions experience in related industry and previous experience as plant manager or operations
- Leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Portugues and English. Spanish communication skills preferred.
Technical knowledge
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques; such as, Including Just-In-Time / One-Piece Flow / Mixed-Model / Kanban / Minimum Inventory manufacturing.
- Safety/Environmental compliance experience.
- Experience in methods and good industrial engineering practices; especially, front-line leadership experience.
- Basic knowledge of Supply chain managementKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project Management) including ERP required.
- The successful candidate must possess a good understanding of administrative knowledge of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure analysis, and wage and salary administration.
- Knowledge of governmental/utility requirements for the facility preferred.
- Experience in labor/management negotiation and grievance procedures preferred.
