Role Summary

DXC Technology is seeking a Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist to support enterprise-wide software asset governance, licensing compliance, and asset lifecycle management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage software assets throughout their lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, utilization, renewal, and retirement.
• Administer and maintain Software Asset Management (SAM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes and controls.
• Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, vendor contracts, and audit requirements.
• Conduct software entitlement reviews, license reconciliations, and compliance assessments.
• Support software audits and vendor engagements, ensuring audit readiness at all times.
• Develop and maintain software inventory, asset repositories, and governance documentation.
• Generate dashboards, metrics, compliance reports, and management insights to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, procurement, finance, and vendor management teams.
• Lead or support SAM tool implementations, migrations, enhancements, and transformation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Assess risks related to software licensing and compliance and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Drive software governance practices and ensure alignment with organizational standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years of strong experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) and/or IT Asset Management (ITAM).
• Knowledge of software licensing models, compliance requirements, entitlement management, renewals, and software audits.
• Experience with one or more of the following SAM tools:
• Flexera (preferred), ServiceNow SAM Pro, HP Asset Manager (HPAM), Snow Software, Equivalent SAM platforms
• Strong understanding of software inventory and lifecycle management processes.
• Experience in reporting, dashboard creation, and compliance metrics development.
• Familiarity with software governance frameworks and risk management practices.
• Flexera implementation, administration, migration, or optimization experience is highly desirable.
• Experience working with global stakeholders and enterprise software vendors is an advantage.
