Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol College Credential in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors and personnel, report concerns, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, public-access areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR a Police Academy Certificate OR a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
• Guard Card/License - preferred.
• Armed Guard Card/License - preferred.
• Customer Service Experience - preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
