Location: Remote U.S. based role
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Status: Full-time, benefit-eligible

Contact Center Referral Specialist - Bilingual (English/Spanish)

At Strivant Health, we support healthcare organizations and physician practices by delivering exceptional patient access and referral services. We are seeking a Bilingual Contact Center Referral Specialist to serve as a key resource for patients, physician offices, and specialty providers. In this role, you'll coordinate referral appointments, assist patients through the scheduling process, communicate with providers, and ensure referrals are completed accurately and efficiently. You'll play a critical role in helping patients access specialty care quickly and efficiently. Here's how you'll make a difference:
- Assist physician offices and patients with scheduling specialty referral appointments.
- Conduct patient and provider clinic staff discussions to gather information necessary for referral coordination.
- Accurately document referral and appointment information within EPIC and other systems.
- Communicate referral guidelines, appointment details, directions, and program information to patients and providers.
- Coordinate with specialty clinics and healthcare providers to assign appointments and manage schedule modifications.
- Maintain accurate referral records and update databases to reflect completed activities.
- Review referral requests, prioritize work inventory, and resolve aged or high-priority accounts.
- Use strong customer service skills to deliver a positive experience while managing inbound and outbound calls.
- Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements, referral procedures, and healthcare regulations.
- Identify issues, recommend solutions, and escalate concerns appropriately to management.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, ongoing training, and special projects as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table
- Requires the ability to communicate fluently bilingually in English and Spanish.
- 2+ years of previous experience in a contact center or similar patient/customer service environment; experience with scheduling or referrals preferred.
- Previous experience with medical billing or patient scheduling systems required; Epic preferred
- Medical terminology knowledge required.
- Demonstrates a personal commitment to promoting and providing excellent customer service.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, diplomacy, and patience while interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Solid skill with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel
- This is a position based in the United States. Employees must currently reside in the U.S.
