Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commodity Planning & Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
As the Commodity Planning & Procurement Manager, you will:
- Lead the development and implementation of commodity sourcing strategies to drive cost savings, quality improvement, and risk mitigation.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
- Develop and maintain demand and supply planning models, taking into account market trends, lead times, and business requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Finance, and Product Development, to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to ensure the on-time delivery of goods and services while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Identify and execute opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency improvements in supply chain management.
- Support diversity and inclusion efforts by actively engaging with a broad range of vendors and fostering sustainable partnerships.
- Create detailed reports and dashboards to provide regular updates on procurement performance and market conditions to key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with ethical sourcing guidelines and environmental standards.
Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, commodity planning, and vendor management, preferably in a medium-to-large-scale organization.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and supplier relationships.
- Proven negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to utilize data and insights to make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of procurement tools and software, such as ERP Systems or MRP Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to ethical procurement practices and sustainability.
Preferred Skills:
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or similar.
- Experience working in a global supply chain environment.
- Familiarity with lean or agile supply chain methodologies.

A typical day in this role involves:
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on procurement needs and objectives.
- Assessing supplier performance and contributing to strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Monitoring inventory levels and adjusting supply plans to mitigate shortages or excesses.
- Facilitating regular meetings with suppliers to review performance and explore improvement opportunities.
- Preparing and presenting procurement reports and forecasts to leadership.
- Applying innovative problem-solving strategies to handle supply chain disruptions or challenges.
