As a Security Officer Access Governance Specialist in Fremont, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage visitor entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control entry to authorized areas in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, common areas, restricted spaces, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or security-related concerns.
- Document incidents, access irregularities, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
