LPN Staff, 5-Star Hospital Based Skilled Nursing Unit, Full Time

Join our award-winning, 5-star hospital-based Skilled Nursing Unit. As an LPN in this high-acuity, post-acute setting, you will be the vital bridge between our Registered Nurses (RNs) and Nursing Assistants (CNAs). You will provide expert clinical care to patients recovering from surgeries, strokes, or acute illnesses, ensuring they receive the high-standard medical attention necessary for a successful transition home. 

Shift: 12 hr. days, 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current, valid LPN license in the state of NC.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required through American Red Cross or American  Heart Association.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
• Strong critical thinking, emotional resilience, and the ability to communicate empathetically with stressed or vulnerable patients and families.
• Successful completion of a hospital and unit-specific orientation which includes age and population specific skills for the area of practice in which the RN will be working and addresses growth and development needs for the patient for whom the LPN will be providing nursing care.

Physical Requirements

• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of [30] pounds frequently.
