THE POSITION AND THE DEPARTMENT

The CRM Administrator provides technical, functional, and strategic leadership for Normandale Community College’s enterprise customer relationship management (CRM) platforms. This position is responsible for the implementation, administration, configuration, integration, optimization, security, and ongoing support of CRM systems that advance student engagement, recruitment, retention, communication, and other institutional priorities.  This is a highly responsible position that provides daily delivery of customer-focused college-wide technical support.

Serving as the primary CRM subject matter expert, the position partners with college departments to understand business needs, improve processes, evaluate new use cases, and translate functional requirements into effective technology solutions. The CRM Administrator also serves as the primary liaison among Normandale IT staff, CRM vendors, Minnesota State partners, and the faculty and staff who use these systems.

The position manages system enhancements, releases, integrations, access, data-related requests, vendor coordination, documentation, training, and governance activities. The CRM Administrator works independently with limited supervision, exercises sound technical and operational judgment, and communicates regularly with college leadership, faculty, staff, vendors, and other partners to ensure CRM services remain reliable, secure, accessible, and aligned with the college’s strategic and operational needs.  This position is responsible for ensuring appropriate information and data security protocols are implemented and adhered to.

This position will actively advance the college’s strategic goals, including to achieve equity in educational outcomes and to support a culturally responsive and service-oriented culture, through individual and departmental efforts.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum:

  • Two (2) years' experience administering, configuring, supporting, or implementing CRM platforms, enterprise business applications, or similar technology solutions.
  • Strong understanding of college recruitment and retention processes, goals, and departmental functions supporting them.
  • Ability to communicate written and oral technical information to technical and non-technical staff/users.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions and system configurations.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills sufficient to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Experience developing and delivering end-user training, documentation, or knowledge resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners across multiple departments, including the ability to understand business needs, build trust, and facilitate collaborative technology solutions.

Preferred:

  • Experience administering and configuring higher education CRM platforms, including systems supporting recruitment, admissions, student engagement, retention, or advising.
  • Demonstrated project management experience leading technology implementations, upgrades, or cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience serving as a vendor liaison and managing software vendor relationships, releases/patches, or product roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead meetings, facilitate discussions, and deliver presentations to diverse partner groups while effectively communicating technical and business concepts.
  • Experience supporting and monitoring data integrations, APIs, middleware solutions, or data synchronization processes.
  • Experience with SQL, relational databases, reporting, data analysis, or data integration technologies.
