MUST BE ABLE TO WORK Monday - Friday from 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM + overtime, including 2 Saturdays a month.

Salary $20.00

Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Material Picker is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials, components, and parts to production and assembly lines. This position pulls, stages, and delivers raw materials and inventory items according to production schedules and work orders, helping to maintain efficient manufacturing operations. The Material Picker works closely with Production, Warehouse, Inventory Control, and Purchasing teams to ensure materials are available when needed and inventory records remain accurate.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Pull, stage, and deliver raw materials, components, and parts to production and assembly lines according to work orders and production schedules.

  • Replenish materials at designated production areas to prevent line stoppages and maintain continuous workflow.
  • Verify material quantities, part numbers, and descriptions before issuing materials to production.
  • Transport materials safely using carts, or other material-handling equipment as authorized.
  • Return unused materials to designated storage locations and ensure accurate inventory transactions.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by recording material movements using inventory management systems, scanners, or manual documentation.
  • Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits as needed.
  • Organize warehouse and storage areas to ensure materials are properly identified, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Support other warehouse, inventory, and production activities as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum three years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, material handling, inventory control, or related field preferred.
  • Experience working in an assembly or production environment is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, production schedules, pick lists, and inventory documents.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using inventory management systems, scanners, or ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and inventory transactions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to changing production demands.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control practices, and material handling procedures preferred.
  • Highly motivated, high energy with the ability to both works independently and with the team
  • Very strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and to focus on details with attention to accuracy and deadlines.
  • This position works primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift materials.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with or without reasonable accommodation.
