Description
Work Location: Miri / Bintulu
Contract Duration: 12 months
Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering and commissioning experience, including at least 3 years in a similar position.
- Must be registered as a member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), as required by the client.
Responsibility
- Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules for mechanical systems.
- Lead the commissioning team during testing, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Ensure compliance with project quality procedures, including document control, change control, materials control, field inspection, and testing procedures.
- Coordinate mechanical inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
- Prepare and manage turnover documentation for the formal handover of completed systems to the Operations team.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve mechanical issues during commissioning and start-up.
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with applicable mechanical standards, design codes, project specifications, and oil and gas industry practices.
Professional skill
- Good knowledge of international mechanical engineering standards.
- Competent in testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Familiar with engineering design codes, industry standards, and oil and gas construction practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good leadership, coordination, and technical documentation skills.
