Job Title - Lead QA Engineer – Manual & Automation Testing

The Purpose of This Role

Fidelity Investments Enterprise Infrastructure is seeking Lead QA Engineer with solid hands on expertise & development exposure on Manual & Automation Tools who can work as an integral member of our QA team providing expertise in quality assurance focusing on delivering testing solutions for Web, Desktop & Mobile technologies.

The candidate must be flexible to accommodate the business changes efficiently and will be expected to work with our Development and Business partners both onshore and offshore to continuously strive to improve quality throughout the development life cycle.  This individual must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-changing environment.  The role is based in Bangalore, India.

 

The Value You Deliver

This is a hands-on role where you need to engage in developing and executing test cases. You will work closely with Product Owners, Dev and Business stakeholders forming future QA blueprints of all our applications and also mentoring the QA team members in adapting latest technologies on ensuring that quality standards are met by planning, designing, executing test cases. This includes all test effort plans, overseeing the test data requirements and/or execution of test cases, monitoring first-level triage of defects found, and ensuring thorough retest of defects through resolution occurs. The role involves continuous collaboration with partners, iterative understanding of requirements, following Fidelity best practices / methodologies.

• Responsible for Product Quality, Test Case Design & Development, Defect reporting, tracking & closure.
• Adhering to software engineering principles in development of automation and software
• Deliver high-quality products across different platforms aligned to IT strategies.
• Collaborating with other technical resources to: 
• Suggesting improvements for processes, best practices, and standards.
• Designing and developing accurate and maintainable test cases.
• Understanding requirements.
• Reporting timely project status to Project and Delivery Stakeholders.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in testing web, client-server, infrastructure, business process, mobile and desktop applications.
• Participate in requirements and design reviews, representing QA to assess quality and collect insight to help the team prepare for testing.
• Design and build scalable automated test frameworks, libraries and test suites working across technologies for regression testing
• Proficiency in Java/JavaScript/Python and Object-Oriented Design.
• Experienced in using Selenium, SOAP/REST API Web Services testing, POSTMAN or any other automation tools.
• Experienced in BDD, TDD, DevOps, CI/CD enablement processes as such Git and Jenkins for automation.
• Experience within an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• Minimum 6+ years of QA experience in Test case design, prototyping, developing and executing cases.
• Experience in use of commercial cloud service infrastructures (e.g. Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related subject.
