Job Description:
At National Church Residences, every role connects to one mission: enriching the lives of seniors and their families. With 360+ communities, we’re the nation’s largest not-for-profit provider of affordable senior housing and services. The dignity and respect we promise residents starts with how we treat our own people. As an HR Generalist focused on employee relations, you’ll help frontline leaders handle their toughest people issues fairly and consistently, so they can build teams that stay.
The basics
- Schedule: Full-time, hybrid, based in Dublin, OH, with occasional travel to communities
- Reports to: Manager of Talent Operations
What you’ll do
- Guide frontline leaders. Coach managers through performance issues, corrective action, and conflict resolution, in partnership with HRBPs and centers of excellence.
- Lead investigations. Investigate complaints and alleged policy or conduct violations, document findings, and recommend fair, defensible outcomes.
- Be the policy resource. Interpret policies and employment law for employees and managers, and help update policies as the organization evolves.
- Manage unemployment claims. Review claims with vendors and operations leaders, and coordinate hearing preparation and follow-up.
- Turn cases into insight. Maintain accurate, confidential case files and report on trends in turnover, engagement, and employee relations.
- Support HR projects in engagement, retention, process improvement, and system implementations.
What you need
- 3+ years of HR experience
- Working knowledge of employment law and ER best practices
- Ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels
- Sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Nice to have

- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
- Experience in healthcare, senior living, or multi-site organizations
