Senior Project Manager, Snowflake Data Migration

A leading financial services organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee a technology transformation involving enterprise data migration to Snowflake and the delivery of business applications.

The Senior Project Manager will lead initiatives from planning through deployment, coordinating data engineering, software development, architecture, testing, and business stakeholders. The position requires proven experience managing Snowflake migrations together with application development projects delivered through an Agile software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data migration initiatives moving data from legacy and existing environments to Snowflake.
• Manage projects across the full SDLC, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Oversee business application development alongside data migration workstreams.
• Establish project plans, priorities, milestones, dependencies, and delivery objectives.
• Coordinate developers, data engineers, architects, quality assurance teams, and business stakeholders.
• Manage Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, backlog management, release planning, and progress reporting.
• Identify project risks and dependencies and coordinate mitigation activities.
• Establish project governance and provide clear status reporting and executive communications.
• Manage project budgets and monitor delivery against established plans.
• Ensure solutions meet applicable quality, security, regulatory, and operational requirements.
• Support change management and adoption associated with new data platforms and business applications.
• Drive delivery across multiple technical and business workstreams.

Required experience and skills

• 5 to 10 years of project management experience leading complex technology initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale data migration programs.
• Hands-on project leadership experience with Snowflake implementations or migrations.
• Strong experience managing Agile application development initiatives.
• Thorough understanding of the SDLC, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams spanning software development, data engineering, architecture, QA, and business functions.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience with project governance, budget management, status reporting, risk management, and dependency management.
• Experience with financial services, banking, wealth management, capital markets, or asset servicing environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms, modern data architecture, ETL, data transformation, governance, and reporting is preferred.
• Experience supporting transitions from Waterfall to Agile delivery models is preferred.
• PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or Agile certification is preferred.
