What You Will Do:
The CE Aftermarket Operations team is looking for a Senior Operations Manager to lead Gate 3 & 4 GTF MRO line at the West Palm Beach Engine Center. The selected individual will lead a team of cell leaders and managers who oversee a bargaining unit workforce that is ultimately responsible for the final assembly, test, and completion of all GTF engines overhauled in WPB. In addition, the Gate 3/4 Operations manager will be directly responsible for meeting all: EH&S, Customer, Quality, and financial goals within the WPB GTF MRO facility. The individual will lead by devising and executing operational strategies, training plans, production resource scheduling, and continuous improvement, while providing clear and crisp communication with Org leadership, peers, and subordinates. Competencies that are critical for success in this role are Customer Focus, Adaptability, Strategic Thinking, and Communication. The individual must embrace the CORE Operating System and thrive in a highly visible, dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the operations team setting both near and long term operational objectives.
- Collaborate with support teams to establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other top priorities.
- Work proactively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving engine induction / delivery / return goals.
- Effectively communicate cross functional requirements to ensure smooth process flow
- Hold employees accountable while maintaining a quality working relationship
- Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly.
- Champion CORE engagements to improve production, performance, and reduce overall operating cost.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Advanced degree and 10+ years of experience in Operations Management, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Military, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant industry experience.
- 5+ years of personnel management experience, ideally within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Degree in STEM field; Engineering, Supply Chain or Management preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in P&L management, with a track record of delivering financial performance.
- Proven ability to lead mentoring, coaching, developing talent and motivate other leaders and teams to achieve business goals ideally within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment.
- Operations experience in Aftermarket Operations (AMO) or Overhaul and Repair (MRO) areas ideally within Engine Center (DAT).
- Working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney engine shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of AS9100 QMS, DOT/FAA regulations, and 14 CFR Part 145 regulations
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles and tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA).
- Ability to plan projects, influence decision and drive towards business objectives.
- Experience using MS Office Suite, SAP ERP, Solumina MES, Smartsheet, Teamcenter and virtual meeting platforms (i.e. Zoom, MS Teams).
- Excellent presentation, with ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
