Description
Veterans Inc. is seeking a detail focused professional with the ability to practice unwavering discretion in the managing of patient's medical information and needs. Reporting directly to the Residential Recovery Program Manager, this employee will be responsible for ensuring the flawless execution of medication tracking, safety logging, and compliance protocols within a residential recovery environment. This role provides crucial structure for individuals stabilizing from substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions who rely heavily on precise, uninterrupted medication management.
This position is based at 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA, and requires a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY:
- Consistent practice of the 6 Rights of Medication Management (Right Patient, Medication, Dose, Route, Time, and Documentation).
- Familiarity with state Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) standard operating procedures, Department of Public Health (DPH) guidelines, and HIPAA laws.
- Knowledge of the addictive disease process, mental health co-occurring disorders, and FDA-approved Medications for Substance Use Disorders (MSUD/MAT) such as Methadone, Buprenorphine, and Vivitrol.
- Digital Literacy & Documentation: Proficient in entering clinical data into Electronic Health Records (EHR) platforms (such as Kipu or InSync) and utilizing standard business tools like Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain strong clinical, legal, and ethical boundaries while operating in an empathetic, peer-supportive role.
- Trauma-Informed & Nonjudgmental Approach: Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations, respecting autonomous pathways to recovery
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
- High school diploma or GED. Associate's degree highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance abuse treatment.
- Medical assistant certification or MAP Certified.
