Data Engineer

Design, develop and maintain data solutions for data generation, collection, and processing. Create data pipelines, ensure data quality, and implement ETL (extract, transform and load) processes to migrate and deploy data across systems.

Summary: As a Data Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing robust data solutions that support the generation, collection, and processing of data. This role includes creating and maintaining efficient data pipelines, ensuring the accuracy and quality of data, and managing the smooth migration and deployment of data across various systems. Collaboration with different teams to align data strategies and support organizational goals is an integral part of daily activities. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Facilitate effective communication and coordination among team members to ensure project milestones are met. - Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize data workflows and processes. - Mentor and guide team members to enhance their skills and promote knowledge sharing. - Monitor project progress and address any challenges that may impact delivery timelines. Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Data Modeling Techniques and Methodologies. - Strong understanding of database design principles and data architecture best practices. - Experience with building and optimizing extract, transform, and load processes to handle large volumes of data. - Familiarity with data quality frameworks and techniques to ensure data integrity and consistency. - Proficient in designing scalable data pipelines that support real-time and batch processing. - Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards to maintain secure and reliable data environments. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Data Modeling Techniques and Methodologies. - This position is based at our Manila office.
