Role Summary and Impact
As part of the Global Operations Centre (GOC), you will work closely with teams across the United States, Europe, and Asia to deliver high-impact solutions in a collaborative, multicultural environment. We are looking for a Senior Manager who will:
-
Report directly to the VP of Investment & Partnerships, connecting media investment strategy with business intelligence and owning the end-to-end data workflow for partner spend forecasting, tracking, and performance validation.
-
Extract, analyze, and validate spend forecasts from CoreM, WPP Media’s proprietary client spend forecasting dashboard.
-
Gather and consolidate forecasts across Agency Client Teams, MM&D Solutions, and MM&D Activation, covering programmatic, social, advanced TV, linear TV, radio, out-of-home, and print.
-
Build and maintain unified reporting models that combine CoreM forecasts with agency, Solutions, and Activation data across deal and non-deal partners.
-
Produce recurring deal-partner spend pacing reports, identifying trends, risks, and potential shortfalls that could affect trading commitments.
-
Extract spend pacing data from MediaOcean and reconcile it with vendor delivery data to monitor partner performance.
-
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between forecasted spend and actual delivery, collaborating with vendors and agency teams to ensure accurate reporting.
-
Use Canadian market intelligence sources, including nLogic Lens, Comscore, CRTC, and Guideline, to validate investment decisions and contextualize performance.
-
Develop data-backed presentations and supporting materials for publisher negotiations and strategic partnership reviews.
-
Identify opportunities to automate data collection and reporting, improving operational efficiency, consistency, and data quality.
-
Collaborate closely with agency teams, Solutions and Activation specialists, and external media partners to communicate findings and support investment decisions.
Skills and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Business Analytics, Project Management, or a related field.
-
3–5 years of professional experience in media planning, media buying, investment, or analytics.
-
Deep understanding of the Canadian media landscape, including regulators, publishers, and vendor ecosystems.
-
Experience with media investment and measurement tools such as MediaOcean/Prisma, nLogic Lens and FT, Comscore, and Airware.
-
Advanced Excel proficiency, including nested formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and data modeling.
-
Experience using Tableau and/or Power BI to develop dashboards and communicate findings.
-
Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus.
-
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
-
Excellent attention to detail and data quality assurance skills, particularly when validating forecasts, reconciling delivery data, and investigating discrepancies.
-
Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple reporting requirements and meet deadlines.
-
Effective communication and relationship-building skills for collaborating with agency teams, internal stakeholders, and external media partners.
-
A proactive approach to identifying anomalies, investigating their causes, and improving reporting processes.
