Senior Project Manager / Estimator

Border States Paving is a family-owned company built on hard work, strong relationships, and pride in what we do. We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Estimator to join our Fargo team.
This is a key leadership role for a proven heavy civil/asphalt professional who can estimate work accurately, win projects, and lead them through safe, profitable execution.
What You'll Do
- Estimate heavy civil, asphalt paving, grading, and sitework projects
- Lead projects from bid through completion
- Manage budgets, schedules, production, costs, and change orders
- Work closely with owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams
- Support and mentor superintendents, foremen, and project staff
- Help improve estimating, planning, cost control, and project performance
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably
What We're Looking For
- 7–10+ years of experience in heavy civil, asphalt, grading, sitework, estimating, or project management
- Strong estimating and project management experience
- Heavy highway/DOT experience preferred
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field operations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred

This position combines office and field responsibilities and requires travel to project sites and meetings. Extended hours and overnight travel may be required during peak construction season.
