Daher's Idaho site, located in Sandpoint Idaho, a small outdoor community located between Lake Pend Oreille and Schweitzer Mountain, is home to Kodiak, a rugged mission ready 10-seat short takeoff and landing turboprop. The facility supports design, manufacturing, development, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities for the Kodiak 100 and Kodiak 900, serving customers worldwide. The team of approximately 300 employees builds airplanes starting largely from raw materials, all the way through painting, to final assembly, defining built by hand in Sandpoint Idaho. Beyond final assembly is comprehensive customer service, aircraft maintenance, technical support, and quality oversight, while continuing to engineer the next generation of Kodiak capability.
Daher is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate strategic projects across our aircraft product development and fleet support portfolios. This role is responsible for managing complex, cross-functional initiatives that support both new product development and operational fleet programs while ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer requirements, and organizational priorities.
The ideal candidate will bring strong project leadership experience, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to drive results in a dynamic aerospace environment. Success in this role requires balancing competing priorities, mitigating risks, and leading teams through influence rather than direct authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects within the new product development and fleet support portfolios from initiation through completion.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned with customer and business objectives.
- Evaluate customer requests and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop effective technical and operational solutions.
- Assess project feasibility, producibility, reliability, maintainability, costs, risks, and profitability.
- Apply project management best practices to monitor project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and communications.
- Develop and present project metrics, KPIs, status reports, and risk assessments to leadership teams.
- Lead project teams using a servant leadership approach that promotes accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and recommend the resources, staffing, facilities, and funding necessary to achieve project goals.
- Proactively identify risks, mitigation strategies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support technical and operational initiatives related to Daher aircraft products and fleet support operations.
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Aviation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, program management, or a related leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with project planning, scheduling, and project management software.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to influence teams and drive results without direct authority.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, customers, and executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace, aviation, aircraft manufacturing, or Tier 1 supplier experience.
- Experience supporting aircraft fleet operations, fleet support programs, or aftermarket services.
- Knowledge of product development lifecycle processes.
- Formal training or certification in Project Management methodologies (PMP, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR Parts 21 and 23.
- Experience leading highly technical, cross-functional engineering projects
Information related to the position: (Required for all positions)
- The compensation for this role starts at $70,000 base salary plus an annual target bonus.
- The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Daher considers a number of factors when determining salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, skills, and current market conditions.
